First real Brother Scan'n'cut card

Got asked to make a card for friend showing a baby peeking out of an ambulance. Said 'no' initially but then my Brother scan'n'cut arrived and inspired me! I managed to put this together using some of the basic shapes and a converted SVG file of the baby. Was really pleased with it. I've got some more unusual requests from this friend so will probably have to use the scan'n'cut again.

Is it too early to mention Christmas?

I made these using a free kit that I got with a magazine that I bought cheap after Christmas. It is by Craftwork Cards. I love these colours and think they give a really different look to a Christmas card. I hope you like them too - even if you think it's a little early for Christmas!

Not how it was supposed to be!

I was wanting to do some gold flakes in the backgroung on this card but my glue was too sticky and kept ripping the paper when I took the stamp off. Ended up using mica powder instead. It meant that I changed the colour scheme too - but purple is a favourite so I don't mind!

Be Blessed

This looked better 'in the flesh'. The inking looks patchy in the photo but it wasn't - honest. Using my lovely Spellbinders again on this.

Thankyou

Wanted to use this Marianne die with this paper as it has similar seed/flower heads on it. I was really pleased with how the flower arrangement worked out.

Commissioned Engagement Card

I had one of those requests for an unusual card - she wanted a bull and a horse to represent the couple. This Woodware stamp set called 'over the fence' was ideal as the bull had a ring in it's ear which I added a tiny heart shaped gem to. It was fun to colour in as well!

Thankyou with bluebells and snowdrops

I was inspired by someone else's card with this design but enjoyed doing a bit of paper piecing to make the bluebells. Obviously, I used a lot of Spellbinder dies on this one including grand nesties and the d-lite flowers.

Apologies for no posts

So sorry I haven't posted this year - I have to say I was a bit shocked I hadn't posted in 2014 and feeling very guilty! I hope you'll forgive me...I bought a Brother Scan'n'cut this year and it has taken my cards in a new direction. More of that to come but thought I'd share this sympathy card I had to make today for a friend. I'm hoping it's not too over the top.
